Imprinting Methods
Hotstamping
Pad Printing
All of our promotional products include a one color imprint, but the method of imprinting differs depending on the product. . Be sure to look at the specs for each product to see which method of printing is included.
HOTSTAMPING
This method of printing is the most economical way to get your items customized. This method is best for one color artwork, simple logos, or straigt copy.
Limitations:
1. This method uses heat to press the foil onto the product so there is some "bleeding" of lines. Therefore, this method is not recommended for artwork with fine lines or small fonts.
2. All artwork must be solid, no gradients please.
3. Stay away from large areas of solid color as they don't print well.
4. Hotstamping is done most often with only one color. We can sometimes do a second color if there is no overlap of colors and not a tight area between the colors.
5. Imprint color is limited to standard foil. PMS matching is not possible for this method. We can sometimes get very close but not exact. Metallic foils print best but gloss colors are also available. We do not recommend white.
PAD PRINTING
Pad printing is an ink printing so the this works best for artwork with small font, fine lines, multiple colors, gradients, etc. PMS matching is also available.
Limitations:
1. This is a slower process than hotstamping therefore, rush orders may not be possible depending on quantity.
2. It's more expensive. Because the process is slower, it takes more time (time is money!). The ink and other materials are also more expensive than with hotstamping, so be prepared to pay a little more if you need to go with this process.
3.Logos or artwork with close registration of different colors may not be exactly placed.
4 Color Process Decal Transfer:
This method is the best for maximum impact of your logo. A 4-color decal is produced from your artwork and we can transfer that onto any of our products.
Limitations:
1. Although this is the best way to represent your full color artwork or logo, it is also the most costly.
2. Stay away from large areas of solid colors as they don't print well.
